Ford Vietnam (whose factory is located in Hai Duong city) on March 14 announced that its sales in February had reached 650 vehicles, up 85% year-on-year.
The sales growth, the highest level ever, helped Ford Vietnam achieved 8.9% of the sector’s market share in the past month.
Thanks to the expansion of showrooms and success of the One Ford plan, Ford has connected more and more customers with Ford car lines, said Metelo Arias, Director General of Ford Vietnam.
Especially, strong demands of the market helped Ford increase the sales of Ford Ranger, the leader of the pickup segment, to 177 vehicles, a surge of 211% over the same period last year.
Ford Transit continued to maintain the leading position of a best-selling commercial car line with 284 vehicles sold, a 165% increase in sales compared with the corresponding period last year.
The sales of Ford Fiesta, the fashion vehicle topping the small car segment, also continued to rise in February with 56 cars sold, up 37% against the same period last year.
Ford Vietnam will be honored to receive the 12th Golden Dragon award held on March 15 by the Ministry of Planning and Investment to praise foreign enterprises with significant contributions to the Vietnamese economy.
