Lac Hong tourism-service Company Ltd. and Binh SVC Company have just announced the art work “Bo Gu”-the oceanic tuna made of coconut cover-to serve Vietnam – Phu Yen seafood festival 2014.


The work

The work “Bo Gu”, which is imitated and stylized after the oceanic tuna, made of coconut cover, has the length of 6m, height of 2.8m, and weight of 350kg. The work has the wooden frame, the surface is intricately grafted of millions of coconut cover pieces, and composite material is also used to complete the work. “Bo Gu” is consecutively completed by the two artists Pham Hong Binh, Pham Hong Bao and the other 8 workers. The total expenditure for the work is 315 million dongs.


The work “bo gu” is entered for the Street festival’s parade in the evening of April 1st, within the proposed content of Vietnam-Phu Yen seafood festival 2014, before being placed for auction to support the locality’s charity fund.
