Nhan Dan/ VNA – As many as 450 bridges will be built by 2020 in rural areas in 32 northern, central and central highlands provinces under a project approved by the Prime Minister on March 12.
A total of VND324.9 billion (US$15.5 million) has been sourced from the State budget for bridge construction, which will contribute to the socio-economic development of disadvantaged localities and dovetail with the programme on building new-style rural areas.
Priority will be given to bridges spanning streams and canals that cross inter-village roads as well as roads leading to communal centres, townships, schools and clinics.
