The objects will be transported from March 13 and returned to Vietnam by August 25.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh city History Museum and the Cham Sculpture Museum in the central city of Da Nang will lend five objects each, while the museum of southern An Giang province is to send three artifacts. The two remaining exhibits will come from the Ho Chi Minh city Museum of Fine Arts and the museum of southern Dong Thap province.
The Vietnamese museums will be responsible to coordinate with the Metropolitan Museum of Arts for object exhibition according to the agreement signed between Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Metropolitan Museum of Arts on the exhibition, titled “Lost Kingdoms of Early Southeast Asia: Hindu-Buddhist Sculpture of Early Southeast Asia, 5th to 8th Century” from April 14 to July 27./.
