Nhan Dan Online – President Truong Tan Sang on February 15 extended his New Year wishes to ethnic groups at the Culture-Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, found in Hanoi’s district of Son Tay.




Speaking at the meeting, President Sang affirmed that cultural identity acts as a spiritual foundation and motivation for national development, which has helped Vietnam overcome difficulties in the past.


The President also expressed his hope that the ethnic community will continue to uphold their heroic traditions to further contribute to strengthening the Vietnam great national unity bloc.


The meeting was held as part of the Sac Xuan Tren Moi Mien To Quoc (Spring in Every Region Nationwide) festival, which opened at the Culture Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups this morning.


The three-day festival features the bumper crop prayer ceremony of the Lo Lo ethnic group from Ha Giang province, the H’Mong New Year’s horse race, and the traditional wrestling contest of the Kinh, as well as other activities.
