Japan seeks investment on solid waste treatment in Quang Ngai 1448985-ppc27022014

On Wednesday February 26, the provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Pham Truong Tho warmly received and worked with Professor Mitsuyasu Yabe from the Faculty of Environmental Economics at the Kyushu University in Japan.

Prof Yabe conducted a survey for a feasibility study for the project of environment protection and agricultural production.

Accordingly, the project will convert organic waste into fertilizer, especially liquid microbial organic fertilizer that could be used for agriculture production in the provincial area.

Liquid organic fertilizer has many advantages such as low production costs but having same quality with other common fertilizers, contributing to environment protection, he added.

The project will also help to raise awareness on environment protection of local people.

If feasibly, he will work with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the seeking fund in order to implement the project.

Vice Chairman Tho highly valued the project ideas of Mr. Mitsuyasu and said that Quang Ngai will create the best conditions for him to do the study in the province because solid waste treatment is one of the province’s priorities.
