Famed Italian pianist to perform in Hanoi and HCMC

Italian pianist Andrea Bonatta will perform in Hanoi on February 25 and Ho Chi Minh City on February 27.

Born in Bolzano, Andrea Bonatta is one of the most outstanding Italian pianists and a successful conductor. He recorded the complete piano work by Brahms as well as many other CD by Liszt and Schubert. He also released a book about the piano work by Brahms. He has played in the most prestigious concert halls in many cities including Rome, Berlin, Moscow, Prague, Shanghai, Beijing, and Paris and is jury member of many international competitions.

Bonatta has been for many years the Artistic Director of the Busoni Competition in Bolzano. He is Artistic Adviser of the Liszt Competition in Utrecht as well as Honorary Professor of the Shanghai Conservatory and founder of the Piano Academy Eppan.

Bonatta is also Guest Professor at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg.

Andrea Bonatta’s concerts will take place at 8pm at Hanoi’s Opera House at 1 Trang Tien Street on February 25 and HCMC’s Conservatory of Music at 112 Nguyen Du Street in District 1.
