A smart toothbrush The first smart toothbrush in the world allow users to improve their oral health, released consumers on February 24 at the annual exhibition of the mobile device where took place in Barcelona city (Spain).

The toothbrush works by connecting the smartphone via Bluetooth application. It records whether you have to respect the process of brushing for 2 minutes (device divided into 4 phases, each phase consists of 30 seconds) and if you regularly brush your teeth or don’t brush.


If the results are good, your phone appears the words: “Congratulations: Your teeth are shiny”. The technology also allows users to share information on social networks or send it directly to your dentist.


Michael Cohen-Dumani, Director of Oral-B brand under Procter & Gamber company, said the company plans to sell the product mentioned above for 219 Euros (300 USD) in the markets of Europe, America and Asia in the coming June. Besides, he also appreciated the potentiality, role of smartphones in particular and new technologies change people’s habits in general.
