The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on 14th January met with provincial leaders and Quang Ngai Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City to call for the support from businesses to the poor in the provincial area.
Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Minh, Chairman of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Viet Chu, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Dinh Khoi, former Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Hong Son and representatives of some departments, agencies attended the event.
On this occasion, Quang Ngai Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City donated more than VND 9.12 billion to the poor in Quang Ngai province, including support flood-hit victims in the province for flood recovery and preparation for the Tet holiday.
Reportedly, from 2011 till now, Quang Ngai Business Club in Ho Chi Minh City has encouraged businesses and mobilized around VND 15,400 million to support the Quang Ngai poor.
According to Mr. Le Viet Chu, so far, 31,150 out of 49,616 poor households have received Tet 2014 gifts (about VND 400 thousand each).
