In the current modern society, environmental protection is always a top priority. Paddy husk is considered an agricultural waste discharged from rice milling plants. It seems to be a refuse for most people but, for Vinastar, it is an input to make paddy husk briquettes – the economical burning substitute for firewood, coal, LPG and kerosene. Vinastar, situated in Village 5, Thanh Duc commune, BenLuc district, Long An province, mitigates environmental pollution, reduces costs and enhances the competitiveness of its products.
Vinastar’s husk combustible is a form of renewable energy. It is quickly accepted by consumers and enterprises in recent years because of its economic efficiency and cost reduction. This renewable energy not only helps reduce the use of limited resources (coal, diesel oil, fuel oil, etc.) and increase lifespan of factory equipment, burners and dryers in industrial zones. At present, the company is supplying products for both domestic and foreign markets. Taiwan has sent an order to the company for 10 containers of briquettes. The company is also seeking new markets. Most foreign customers like this product because of no CO2 emissions and little harm to the environment. Hence, many food companies have shifted to use Vinastar’s rice husk briquettes. Ash is also used as fertiliser for soil.
Although the company meets with a lot of difficulties in buying high-priced materials and selling prices are too low, the company still tries to find out suitable solutions to this problem by boosting exports and improving product quality.
Charcoal made from rice husk is a good way to consume excess rice husk which is threatening environmental pollution, especially during the harvesting time in Mekong Delta provinces in particular and in the country in general. Vinastar has solved jobs for local workers and increase economic efficiency. This deed is respectful and appreciated.
With its high determination and constant effort to build a clean, green and beautiful environment, Vinastar hopes authorities will provide favourable conditions for the company to withstand difficulties and challenges to make products good to human health and environment.
