In an interview with reporters of Vietnam + on innovative solutions to reduce the impact of climate change, towards environmental protection of Siemens, Prof. Pham Thai Lai – CEO of Siemens Vietnam said that the most effective tool to response to the negative consequences caused by climate change is technological innovation across all fields of energy supply and consumption. Siemens is the world’s leading companies on environmental protection technology. The range of products and their comprehensive solutions in power production, distribution and consumption also consist of the extremely effective measures to reduce CO2 emissions. In the fiscal year 2012, thanks to the range of environmentally friendly products and solutions of Siemens, its customers worldwide can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 332 million tons, equivalent to the amount of waste of 9 major cities around the world including Berlin, Hong Kong, London, New York, Tokyo, Moscow, Jakarta, Sao Paulo and Melbourne. The range of environmentally friendly products and solutions of Siemens cover most of the fields related to the production, transmission, distribution and use of energy. Committed to supporting Vietnam to cope with climate change
Vietnam is one of the countries that are most vulnerable to climate change as well as one of the most populous countries in the world. There are many reports of the increase in abnormal typhoons, droughts, sea level and global warming.
