In the fiscal year 2012, thanks to the range of environmentally friendly products and solutions of Siemens, its customers worldwide can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 332 million tons, equivalent to the amount of waste of 9 major cities around the world including Berlin, Hong Kong, London, New York, Tokyo, Moscow, Jakarta, Sao Paulo and Melbourne. The range of environmentally friendly products and solutions of Siemens cover most of the fields related to the production, transmission, distribution and use of energy. Siemens is the turnkey contractor and is the main supplier of equipment for thermal power projects, typically Phu My 2-1 (extended), Phu My 3, Ca Mau 1 and 2, Nhon Trach 2. These are the most efficient thermal power plants in Vietnam, contributing significantly to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
