According to vice director of Hanoi City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Khac Loi, the department will organize many entertainment places in all districts and a town.
In 2014, Hanoi will not organize street flower as usual to welcome the New Year 2014. Because the form of organizing entertainment places changes. Entertainment will be not focused in the centre, but spread out in different places. Balloons will be released in several places in Hanoi if weather conditions permit.
Hanoi will open 47 flower markets for Tet, including 17 markets in districts of inner Hanoi and 30 in districts in the outskirts.
In addition, on January 30, art performances will be held at Ly Thai To statue area, Hanoi Opera House square, Ha Dong district centre, Thong Nhat Park gate, Ngoc Son Temple and in 28districts and one town.
From February 2nd-5th, art performances and sports demonstrations will be held to welcome spring and mark the 84th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Firework shows will be held within 15 minutes from midnight of January 31st at 29 sites in the city.
From January 23rd to February 9th (the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month to the 10th day of the first lunar month), the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is coordinating with several localities to organize activities to welcome the Year of the Horse 2014 at the museum. In cooperation with the central Ha Tinh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the museum will bring the culture and folk activities of the central region to people in the capital. There will be folk art performances, folk games and a gastronomy festival./.
