The leaders asked Party committees and authorities to pay more attention to taking care of families of people with merits and the elderly, especially during Tet.

Hai Duong province leaders on 21 January visited and presented gifts to a number of typical policy families and elderly people on the occasion of Tet Giap Ngo (Lunar New Year of the Horse) 2014.


In Cam Giang district, Mr. Bui Thanh Quyen, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, and Mr. Nguyen Van Hop, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, visited and presented gifts to Le Thi Cay, 91 years old, a martyr mother in Binh Phien hamlet, and Pham Xuan Nghiem, 66 years old, a seriously wounded soldier in Te Bang hamlet, Ngoc Lien commune; Pham Thi Thuc, a martyr mother in area 1, Cam Giang district town and Bui Thi Nam, 100 years old, in Phu Loc hamlet, Cam Vu commune.

In Thanh Ha district, Mr. Vu Van Son, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to 100-year-old Bui Thi Suu in area 1, Thanh Ha district town; 91-year-old Pham Thi Man, wife of anti-French colonialism martyr Do Xuan Doanh; and wounded soliders Do Van Sang and Do Van Tung in Dong Phan hamlet, Tan An commune.


In Thanh Mien district, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, visited and presented gifts to Quach Thi Thanh, 88 years old, mother of martyr Trinh Xuan Chinh in Chau Quan hamlet, and wounded soldier Dinh Xuan Phuong in Tong Hoa hamlet, Doan Ket commune; visited, presented gifts, and wished martyr mother Tran Thi Ieng, 93 years old, and An Thi Pho, 100 years old, in An Nghiep, Tu Cuong commune longevity.

At the visited places, the province leaders heartily inquired after and were pleased with the efforts of the policy families and elderly people in bringing into play traditions, encouraging children to well observe lines, guidelines, policies, and laws of the Party and State and actively participate in production and family economic development.


They expressed their gratitude to the policy families and people with merits for their enormous contributions to the cause of building and defending the country and wished the policy families and elderly people many victories in the new year 2014.


They asked Party committees and authorities in localities to pay more attention to taking care of families of people with merits and the elderly, especially during the traditional Tet.
