In the first three months of this year, more than 500,000 Korean visitors visited Viet Nam

Seeing the RoK an important market, the Vietnamese tourism sector will boost cooperation with the RoK through exchange programmes to increase the number of Korean tourists, said the VNAT.

Viet Nam will participate in the Korea World Travel Fair in June, while organising more promotion activities in the East Asian country.

Right from the beginning of 2017, the tourism sector also has actively participated in tourism promotion and cooperation activities such as the ASEAN-China Year of Tourism Cooperation.

The sector also aims to receive from 17-20 million international tourists and serve 82 million domestic visitors by 2020, contributing 10% to the gross domestic product (GDP). Its revenue from tourism is expected to reach US$35 billion.
