First shipments of coal exported in lunar New Year

MAGNOLIA ACE and Vinacomin 02 are the first callers at Cam Pha port.

Nhan Dan Online – The MAGNOLIA ACE bulk carrier vessel from Panama and Vinacomin 02 were the ‘first callers’ of the new lunar year at Cam Pha Port, Quang Ninh Province as they were loaded with coal.

Shortly after a welcome ceremony done according to Vietnamese customs, the Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company, a subsidiary of the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) and Cua Ong Coal Preparation Company, loaded 24,200 tonnes of coal onto the MAGNOLIA ACE and more than 2,800 tonnes onto Vinacomin 02.

The Cam Pha Port and Logistics Company said that from January 31 to February 3 there will be three more ships receiving more than 27,000 tonnes of coal destined for domestic and foreign markets.

This year, Vinacomin hopes to sell more than 35 million tonnes of coal and earn a total revenue of over VND105 trillion (roughly US$4.9 billion).
