More than 3,000 reporters of international news outlets, such as CNN, Reuters, NHK, AFP, BBC and KBS, have come to Hanoi for the summit.

Particularly, there was a delegation of journalists from the White House and key news agencies from the US like CBS, ABC, NBC, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.

Vo Anh Tai, deputy general director of Saigontourist Holding Company, said the company assigned Saigontourist Travel Services Company, its branches in Hanoi, the Saigon Halong Hotel, and other subsidiaries to offer tours that are designed specifically based on the needs and time of the visiting foreign reporters. The tours should bring reporters the most wonderful experiences through exploring Vietnam’s culture, landscapes, history and cuisine.

Saigontourist operates four tours for the reporters, including tours of Hanoi, Duong Lam Ancient Village, Halong, and Bat Trang Pottery Village. The company also gives souvenirs like Dong Ho’s do paper paintings, non la (conical hat), and con roi (puppet) to reporters at the summit media center.

Founded in 1975, Saigontourist is now the largest travel firm in Vietnam, with strong experiences in organizing and serving many large international events. The company has more than 100 subsidiaries operating in multiple sectors such as hospitality, restaurant, travel, entertainment, education and training.
