29,300 visitors purchase tours at Vietnam International Travel Mart

With the theme of ‘Green Tourism’, VITM 2019 helped raise awareness among concerned stakeholders, especially businesses, about the necessity of environmental and biodiversity protection, adaptability to climate change, as well as making a contribution to improving people’s living conditions in disadvantaged areas.

The 3-day fair attracted the participation of about 3,200 businesses and close to 63,000 visitors who came to purchase some of the tourism products on show.

Some 29,300 visitors at the event registered for domestic and international tours, while the total revenue made from tourism activities is estimated at VND322.3 billion.

According to a survey conducted by the organising board, 96.43 per cent of units were satisfied with the event and at least 74.5 per cent of businesses are committed to participating in the next annual event, VITM 2020.

Following the success of the event in Hanoi, Vietnam Tourism Association will host the Can Tho international travel mart from November 29 to December 1.

The expo in Can Tho is expected to attract 200 pavilions of Vietnamese and international businesses and provide a good venue for businesses to introduce their tourism products to visitors.
