Ideal destinations in Vietnam for a Winter holiday

The northeast province of Ha Giang is renowned for its wild and magnificent beauty, with rugged rocky mountains ranges and terraced fields. It’s also a place where the warm and cheerful locals make any visit there a truly mesmerizing experience captivating many visitors. If you’re a flower lover then you should head to Moc Chau, about 200km north from Hanoi. An idyllic place for winter trips from November to February the plateau is covered with pure white apricot and plum flowers. Only 30km away from the centre of the city of Lang Son, Mau Son Mountain is surrounded by endless large and small mountains as a far as the eye can see. The peaks of these mountains are always covered with fog and even some snow in winter, creating a picturesque and Christmassy landscape. Located in the north-west of Vietnam, at an altitude of 1,600m above sea level, the acclaimed district of Sapa is one of the most beautiful places across the country to see snow fall and scenic views. One of the most attractive destinations in the North, Tam Dao is located on the Tam Dao mountain range over 900m above sea level. In Tam Dao, there are three majestic mountains hidden in the clouds, Thach Ban (1,388m), Thien Thi (1,375m), and Phu Nghia (1,400m), rising above the sea of clouds like three islands. It is said these mountains have a romantic aura and it can be like literally walking on clouds. Mai Chau is a captivating hidden valley situated between tall cliffs and surrounded by lush rice paddy fields with seemingly endless green forests and nature reserves which beauty visitors find enchanting. A peaceful and tranquil destination it’s definitely one to be considered. With an impressive design resembling a yellow ribbon on the hands of a god, at a height of 1,400m on Ba Na peak, the Golden Bridge has quickly become the most attractive destination in Da Nang since its official launch in early June 2018. It’s a perfect place to take one of those striking iconic photos for your Facebook profile pictures or Instagram feed. Da Lat City in the central highlands province of Lam Dong is called with different names due to its romantic beauty such as “Little Paris”, “City of Pine Forests”, “Land of Mist”… Da Lat’s flowers, lakes and waterfalls attract tourists near and far. It’s a perfect place for couples to get away fro the city and enjoy its romantic atmosphere and flowers. Binh Chau Hot Springs, about 150 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, is home to 70 natural hot springs of different sizes, with temperatures ranging from 40-80 degrees Celsius, with endless and healthful sources of mineral water and mud. If you’ve been planning a healthily get-away for a while but haven’t’ got around to going anywhere; Binh Chau can’t be recommended enough. Phu Quoc is Vietnam’s largest island, known as the ‘pearl island’ with unspoiled, mysterious beauty and beautiful, pristine blue beaches. Definitely a place to go this winter if you’re feeling adventurous and want to be surrounded by nature.
