The event saw the presence of Politburo member Tran Quoc Vuong, a permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC), and head of the CPVCC Inspection Commission.
According to the plan, the site will target about 1.5 million annual visitors, including 2,000 foreigners, to the site by 2025 and two million visitors by 2030, including 35,000 foreigners. Revenue from tourism at the site is expected to exceed VND600 billion in 2025 and VND1.65 trillion in 2030.
Tan Trao national tourist side covers five communes in Son Duong district and one in Yen Son district. Under the plan, its core area of 25,000 hectares will be developed.
The plan focuses on key products, such as tours exploring the history of the site and providing information on its patriotic tradition and ecotourism.
The plan will see infrastructure for tourism expand by increasing the available accommodation to 500 rooms in 2025 and 1,000 in 2030 to at least three-star standard, while developing restaurants, homestay facilities, entertainment and sport centres, and parks.
Tan Trao, known as Vietnam’s revolutionary cradle, was once the home of President Ho Chi Minh and Party central agencies in the period before the success of the August Revolution and in the resistance war against the French. It was the venue for many historic events leading up to the August Revolution victory, including the Congress of People’s Representatives chaired by President Ho Chi Minh on August 16, 1945 to decide the destiny of the nation.
