International Firework Festival: Japan, Switzerland introduce colourful performances

The Japanese team – Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks Limited Company created a charming space using the harmony between light and sound.

Established in 1982, the company has been famous for advanced techniques in firework performance, contributing to make the over 400 year history of Japanese firework industry more modern and developed. The team also won the second prize at the 2012 DIFF.

With the scaffolding reaching a record height of four metres at the DIFF, the Swiss team, SUGYP SA, was assessed as one of the strongest teams at this year’s event. The impressive high altitude fireworks, in harmonious combination with contemporary music, showcased its creativity.

The third night of the 2017 DIFF will take place on May 27th with a competition between the two teams from China and England.
