Da Nang nominated as Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination

(CPV) – The central coastal city of Da Nang continues to be nominated as Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination at the World Travel Awards 2017, reported the city Tourism Promotion Centre.

In 2016, the city was honoured to receive the ward, which named it on the list of modern and safe destinations with numerous international events. This year, to win the title, Da Nang must surpass eight other candidates: Bangkok (Thailand), Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau and Beijing (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Seoul (the Republic of Korea) and Singapore.

This year, Da Nang focuses on organizing many regional and international activities and events such as Asia Golf Tourism Convention in May, APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in November and Da Nang International Fireworks Competition from April to June.

The award ceremony and results announcement will be organized on June 4^th, 2017, in Shanghai.
