Press conferent of Mekong Delta Culture-Tourism Week in Hanoi

(Cinet)- On November 12, in Hanoi, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a press conferent to introduce some activities of Mekong Delta Culture-Tourism Week 2015 in Hanoi. Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien attended the workshop.

On 3 days on November 16-19, the Mekong Delta Culture-Tourism Week 2015 in Hanoi consists of 3 main contents: Exhibition “Colors of culture and tourism in Mekong Delta”; exchange program “Discovering the Southern land”; dialogue “Keeping and developing some cultural heritage values and tourism products in the Mekong Delta”; art cultural program at the Week.

At the press workshop, Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien affirmed that the Mekong Delta Culture-Tourism Week in Hanoi aims to introduce and honour some cultural values of the Mekong Delta; tourism potentiality. Some activities of culture and arts educate the young generation to increase more awareness of culture and tourism in the Mekong Delta and role of some individuals to keep and develop culture.

In particular, Pham The Trieu, vice-manager of An Giang Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that tourism potentiality should be developed in the Mekong Delta.

An Giang province is spiritual cultural tourism zone. The province has built Tourism Development Project of Sam Mountain, Cam Mountain to become national tourism zone.

The province encourages some economic zones to invest into building some types of tourism and support the enterprises to open the display zone and sell some traditional products in locality.

The workshop, Deputy Minister Vuong Duy Bien expressed role of the press to propagandize some cultural values and tourism potentiality in the Mekong Delta.

The events aim to introduce, popularize and raise respect for the cultural values of the Mekong Delta, highlight tourism potential, call for investment and create a momentum for economic, cultural and social development of the provinces and cities in the delta.
