Hai Phong welcomes 5 million of visitors in 10 months According the information from Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, at the end of October 2015 the city welcomed, served 5 million of arrivals, increasing 4.9% compared with the same period of 2014, reached 90% the plan of 2015 (in which international tourists received 518,817 arrivals, up 5.8% compared with the same period). Turnover in tourism industry is estimated to reach VND 1,817 billion, up 9% compared with the same period of 2014 but only reaching 80% of the plan of 2015. In the last 2 months of this year, tourism industry will focus on improving the quality of tourism, coordinating with travel agents to promote, open new tours, assisting business and tourist servicesto operate a new airline from Cat Bi airport effectively, well organizing the festival of Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem, increasing promotion activities, advertising and searching for tourist market, especially tourists traveling by ocean vessel, deploying supporting program, assisting businesses to invest, develop all types of entertainment services, shopping, cuisines for serving tourists.
