EMF2015 will feature well-known musical talents from Austria, Wallonia- Brussels (Belgium), the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Sweden as well as a prominent guest band from Vietnam.
With a line-up of 19 enchanting concerts, the festival will offer Vietnamese audiences the prospect of experiencing varied genres of music, including engaging jazz melodies with incredible voices and great songs, classic, contemporary and exiting rock beats intertwined with Vietnamese traditional music.
EMF2015 will take place at Youth Theatre, Worker Theater, and Opera House in Hanoi and HCMC Conservatory of Music, 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1 and Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square in HCMC’s District 1.
The festival will start on November 18 with the shows of Brandt Brauer Frick (Germany) at Worker Theater in Hanoi and Tolvan Big Band (Sweden) at the Conservatory of Music in HCMC. It will continue with a broad spectrum of jazz melodies presented by Eric Legnini Trio (Wallonia-Brussels/ Belgium), Ulrich Drechsler Trio (Austria), The Blue Star Ensemble (the Czech Republic), Anne Paceo (France).
EMF2015 will also present a classical concert of virtuosity by Polish violinist Voytek Proniewicz. On November 29, the festival will be closed in HCMC by Ferenc SnĂ©tberger – Paolo Vinaccia Duo (Hungary) and in Hanoi by the Vietnamese guest band Hac San.
The festival is jointly organized by the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam, the Performing Arts Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and European cultural centers and embassies of EU member states.
This event is a highlight among several activities held by the Delegation of the European Union in Vietnam in collaboration with Vietnam’s Ministries throughout 2015 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the EU-Vietnam diplomatic ties.
Free tickets of the festival can be obtained from 9 a.m. on November 16 at Goethe Institut, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hanoi, and 18 Road No. 1, Do Thanh Condo in HCMC’s District 3 and Idecaf, 31 Thai Van Lung Street in HCMC’s District 1.
