Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh highlighted the event where Vietnam’s tourism industry is implementing the Government’s resolutions and instructions on Vietnam’s tourism development towards its 55th traditional anniversary (July 9th 1960-2015).
Previously, Vietnam issued its strategy for tourism development until 2020 with a vision to 2030. Over the past time, Vietnam’s tourism industry has benefited from the strategy.
However, in order to fulfill the strategy’s objectives, the workshop’s participants pointed out some necessary measures, such as improving public awareness of developing tourism, raising the industry’s competitiveness and global integration, issuing proper policies to develop the industry, and popularizing Vietnam’s images to international friends, and managing tourism products.
