(VOV) – U15 Vietnam National Team has left for Osaka for Japan-Mekong U15 Football Exchange Programme on July 1-3.

The event provides a playground for U15 Japan National Team and five U15 national teams of Mekong countries (Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos) to meet and share experiences from each other.

According to the draw, U15 Vietnam National Team will be listed in group A, together with the host, U15 Japan National Team, and U15 Cambodia National Team and U15 Vissel Kobe FC.

The group B includes U15 Laos, U15 Thailand, U15 Myanmar National Teams and U15 Sanfrecce Hiroshima FC.

Vietnam will meet U15 Vissel Kobe FC on July 1.

Coach Dinh The Nam said that Vietnam’s participation in the event will create opportunity to select the best athletes for U16 Vietnam National Team to prepare for U16 Southeast Asia Championships 2015, which is set to get underway in Cambodia in late July, then the qualifying round of U15 Asia Championships 2015.
