Tourists to Hanoi increase by 8.8%

PANO – Hanoi on July 6^th held a conference to deploy tourism tasks for the second half of 2015 and the action plan to develop tourism under Resolution No. 92/NQ-CP of the government.

At the conference, the city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported that the number of tourists to Hanoi in the first half of 2015 reached around 10 million, increasing by 4% compared to the same period in 2014. Of the 10 million tourists, more than 1.58 million were foreigners, moving up by 8.8% and the rest 8.45 million were domestic, up by 3%. Estimatedly, the revenue from tourism totaled VND 15 trillion, an increase of 3% compared to the same period in 2014.
