Quang Ngai Youth Union on April 15 held the conference to review the Youth Month 2015 and honor advanced youth following Uncle Ho’s examples, period 2011-2014.
Reportedly, during 04 implementation years of Politburo’s Directive No. 03-CT/TW on continuing acceleration of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples, there appeared a lot of good models such as “Diary of following Uncle Ho’s moral examples”, Youth tree garden”, “Voluntary rice gruel pot”, “Boarding houses”, “Gratitude houses”, etc.
Youth Union at all levels has mobilized resource and fund to provide fee health check-up and medicine for more than 303,000 people; propaganda and mobilized young people in voluntary blood donation with more than 80,000 blood units; built 10 rural youth bridges; offered more than 30,000 free rice gruel; constructed 125 gratitude houses, 02 preschools, 13 boarding houses; etc.
During the Youth Month 2015, various activities have been implemented with the participations of more than 1,500 young people, upholding youth’s voluntary spirit in the process of the new rural construction.
Activities mainly focused on Vietnam’s major holidays and festivals, education, youth creativity, new rural development, environmental protection, and climate change.
As result, voluntary young people in the province has built 690m of rural traffic roads, 2.5km of rural lights; exterminated 5,000 Mai Duong trees; offered 02 gratitude houses to poor fishermen; organized 08 times of free health check-up and medicines for more than 1,000 poor people; conducted voluntary blood donation and collected 1,708 blood units; provided 664 gifts to the poor, … with the total amount of hundred millions dong.
The province held activities to help poor patients, mobilize blood donations, present gifts to the poor and social beneficiaries, and provide scholarships to disadvantaged students.
On the occasion, executive board of the provincial Youth Union granted Certificate of Merit to 49 collectives and 46 individuals for their excellent results during the campaign of learning and following Uncle Ho’s moral examples, period 2011-2014 and Youth Month 2015.
