(VOV) -HCM City People’s Committee Chairman Le Hoang Quan on April 17 received Chinese Minister of Public Security Guo Shengkun who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
At the reception, Quan affirmed the bilateral trade ties between Vietnam and China have continuously grown since the establishment of diplomatic ties six and one-half decades ago.
He added that HCM City will continue to strive to create a business climate conducive to the development of a more favourable business environment for the two nation’s business communities.
For his part, Chinese Minister Guo Shengkun highlighted the city’s socio-economic development and international integration with other countries, helping improve the local people’s living standards.
He also voiced his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, HCM City will reap greater accomplishments in the time to come.
Guo Shengkun stressed the previous meeting with the Vietnam Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Public Security will contribute to enhancing the cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.
