Vietnam to enhance trade cooperation with Venezuela

The PM has approved a draft supplementary agreement to the framework agreement on trade cooperation between Vietnam and Venezuela.

The PM authorized Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang on behalf of the Government to sign the agreement with authorized representatives of Venezuela at the third meeting of the Vietnam-Venezuela Inter-governmental Committee in Ha Noi in March.

Vietnam and Bolivar Venezuela established diplomatic ties on December 18, 1989. Both sides signed many agreements in different fields. Bilateral trade relations saw cooperation potential in energy, oil and gas, agriculture, commodity production industry, health, science and technology.

The two countries will review and improve cooperation mechanisms and seek measures to enhance the comprehensive partnership, boost the effectiveness of bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation, expand relations in the fields of their strengths and demand.
