(Cinet)- On behalf of the Government, vice-PM Vu Duc Dam honoured the Certificate to rank the special national relics of the tombs and temples of the kings of the Ly Dynasty and the Phat Tich Pagoda historical-architectural relic site in Tien Du district on March 07.


At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung attended the “Ve mien Quan ho” (Coming back to Quan ho land) art performance on March 7 in the northern Bac Ninh province, during which two local sites were declared special national relics.


Vice-PM Vu Duc Dam honoured the ranking certificate for two special national relics and the Phat Tich Pagoda historical-architectural relic site.


The Ly Dynasty reigned 216 years (1009-1225) with nine kings who expanded the Dai Viet civilisation. Temples and tombs of the Ly kings include Den Do (Do Temple), Thien Duc tomb, Phat Tich and Nuong Dau tombs.The biennial event was themed “Ben dong Tieu Tuong” (By the Tieu Tuong River), featuring the unique Quan ho (love duet) singing in Bac Ninh – a UNESCO-recognised intangible cultural heritage site.


Also, the Phat Tich Pagoda, built during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong nearly a thousand years ago, is one of the largest Buddhist centres in the country.


Quan ho Bac Ninh is folk songs of the Red River Delta, concentrates mainly in Kinh Bac region (provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang). This is a kind of art composed by the elements of music, lyric, costume, festival… Quan ho Bac Ninh folk songs show close-knit relation between male singers (lien anh) and female singers (lien chi) and are typical culture of Kinh Bac region’s people.
