Many Internet users in Vietnam have been unable to get access to google.com.vn since this afternoon, with a message displayed on their computer screen saying the site had been hacked whenever they tried to get to the address.

Lizard Squad claimed responsibility for the hacking of Facebook and its photo-sharing app Instagram on January 27, VTC News said.
But Facebook refuted the claim later, saying it was briefly down because of configuration changes.
News website zing.vn reported that many readers have said that this seeming hack has affected a certain circle of users when they use the DNS of Google to get access to google.com.vn.
DNS stands for Domain Name System, which is a hierarchical distributed naming system for computers, services, or any resource connected to the Internet or a private network.
DNS translates domain names to the numerical IP addresses needed for the purpose of computer services and devices and it is an essential component of the functionality of most Internet services, as it is the Internet’s primary directory service.
They can still use Google Search on their mobile devices while other services like YouTube, Google+, and Gmail are working properly, according to zing.vn.
Many users have also said on tinhte.vn, a major Vietnamese tech forum, that they saw the same message when trying to access google.com.vn.
Member cuhiep said he removed the DNS of Google and then the site worked normally, specifying the DNS as 8.8.8.8, 8.8.
Gamek.vn, a forum for online gamers, ran an article on Monday calling for caution from its members given the boldness of the hacking message since their computers might get compromised.
