(VOV) -Vietnam’s female football squad on October 1 faced a 0-3 lost to the Republic of Korea (RoK) at the ongoing Asian Games (ASIAD 17), failing to clinch bronze medal.


The opening score for the host team was made by No.13 striker Kwon Hahnul from a far kick by her left leg in the 57 minute of the match after the scoreless first half.


Korean footballers’ two more consecutive goals for the host team were scored by Park Heeyoung and Jung Seolbin in the 58th and 57th minute.


Despite constants efforts by Vietnamese players, they failed to make an honourable goal in the remaining time of the second half, fixing the final score at 3-0 in favour of the host team.



In the six recent matches against RoK team, Vietnamese girls were all defeated, with a total of 23 goals scored by RoK players whose net were broken only four times.
