| (CPV) - The Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam will host a Swedish Film Festival from October 3 to 5, as one of many events celebrating 45 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Vietnam. The festival will screen popular films of the Swedish film industry such as Palme, Show Me Love, The Black Pimpernel, Easy Money, Tzvetanka and Searching for Sugar Man. All films will be shownfree of chargefor the people in Hanoi at Cinematheque, 22A Hai Ba Trung Street, except the launch screening of Palme which will be by invitation only. Palme was an immediate success and attracted the most number of cinema goers in Sweden since 1979. The documentary tells the story of Sweden’s Prime Minister Olof Palme, who was assassinated in 1876. For decades, the assassination overshadowed the image of the man. Here is the story of the person and how he changed history. “Movie lovers from Hanoi will get a unique chance to undertake a cinematic journey through a fantastic line-up of Swedish films, which have been appreciated for years by the Vietnamese audience,” said Camilla Mellander, Ambassador of Sweden to Vietnam./. |
