As implementing the policy of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and conclusion of the provincial Standing Committee on mobilizing to support fishermen and protection for of sea-island sovereignty of the country, to date, the provincial Standing Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have mobilized donations from many sources withthe amount of over 3.5 billion dongs.
In particular, Hai Duong province supported 200 million dongs; 136 agencies and units in the province supported nearly 1.3 billion dongs; Fatherland Front Committees of districts, town and ciymobilized nearly 2.3 billion dongs.
2.1 billion dongs of the above-mentioned amount has been disbursed by the Provincial Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front. Accordingly, the Provincial Federation of Labour was allocated 600 million dongs to support law enforcement forces with sea-island sovereignty protection task about 300 million dongs, the remaining amount was supplemented in the Fund for helping poor fishermen with difficult circumstances; the Provincial Women‘s Union was disbursed 1 billion dongs to support on-duty soldiers forces in the Spratly Islands; Veterans Association was allocated 500 million dongs to remove members’ temporary houses who are poor coastal fishermen. The remaining amount of more than 3.5 -billion-dong package will be prioritized to abolish temporary houses for poor fishermen with difficult circumstances in the province.
