An animated flashmob dance performed by hundreds of Da Nang youths in swimming costumes attracts a lot of attention from tourists.
Nhan Dan Online – The central coastal city of Da Nang has welcomed approximately 210,000 tourist arrivals on the occasions of the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1), representing a slight increase of 0.23% against last year.
International visitor arrivals reached 38,820, up 50.34%, while domestic arrivals saw a 4.6% decrease by over 171,000 people.
Following the success of the 2013 summer tourism programme, on April 30, the managing board of the Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang tourism beaches launched the 2014 Da Nang Beach Tourism Season with the theme ‘Da Nang Beach – Old Destination, New Look‘.
The five-day festival entertains tourists with 20 exciting activities such as folk games, a cycling contest around the Son Tra peninsula, a procession promoting marine tourism environment protection, a bikini flashmob dance and photo exhibitions on Da Nang.
In addition, many other cultural, sporting and recreation events are also being held by enterprises, including a beach night party, rock show, windsurfing and coral-viewing swimming, drawing the enthusiastic participation of both local and foreign visitors.
