Nhan Dan Online – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has recently issued a dispatch to ensure public safety during the five-day holiday to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the Southern liberation and the national reunification (April 30) as well as May Day.

In the document, he asked ministries, Government agencies and People’s Committees to ensure food safety and to control market prices, particularly the prices of essential goods and services at tourist sites.

Patrols and inspections are to be carried out at bus and train stations to avoid any action to increase ticket prices or any violation of traffic safety regulation in order to facilitate travel.

He also asked for further measures to fight against measles to keep the disease from spreading. Doctors should be on duty 24 hours a day to provide timely treatment to patients while actively treating traffic accident victims and seasonal diseases such as dengue fever and hand-foot-mouth.

The Ministry of Public Security and People’s Committees at all levels are assigned to increase patrols at commercial districts, entertainment places and tourists sites to maintain social order and prevent fires and explosions.

Authorities in border areas and sea and islands regions are requested to heighten vigilance to protect the national sovereignty, support fishermen and facilitate maritime economic activities.
