The average room capacity in March reached over 45 per cent, of which room capacity hit 55.5 per cent in the three to five-star hotel segment and 30.15 per cent in the one to two-star hotel segment, respectively.
China was the main source of foreign visitors to Nha Trang city in the reviewed period with more than 200,000 Chinese visitors each month, followed by Russia with over 40,000 visitors per month, and the Republic of Korea with nearly 30,000 visitors per month.
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the tourism sector in the locality has enjoyed robust growth in terms of scale, quantity, and quality over recent years.
Despite these improvements, the locality has encountered a number of challenges related to the development of infrastructure such as airports, terminals, ports, and entertainment complexes.
The lack of development among these facilities fails to meet the growing demands of tourists.
In addition, the rising number of Chinese travelers to Nha Trang has made it more difficult for local authorities to control the cash flow and revenues of shops due to the increasing use of online payment methods such as Alipay and Wechatpay.
