Nguyen Duc Vu, head of the Management Board of Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang beaches, said the management board has provided additional facilities and equipment such as canoes and walkie-talkies to rescue workers at the beaches.
It has also released information on the city through leaflets in English, Korean, and Chinese as well as informing accommodation establishments and travel companies on rescue activities. This year, the management board plans to organise four rescue drills.
Mr Vu noted that there will be more than 100 rescue staff on duty at sea and will focus on the beaches with a large number of local and foreign visitors.
Aside from improving infrastructure, the city is about to launch a firework festival and an international balloon display to offer new experiences to guests between April and June.
Nguyen Xuan Binh,Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, said the city has introduced new tourism products such as a night market and entertainment services to meet the increasing demands of tourists.
The city’s tourism department has also closely monitored service establishments throughout the city to deal with violations in a timely manner in a hope of creating a safe and friendly environment for visitors.
