The spring flower festival opened on February 5 in Bai Dinh flower valley close to the Bai Dinh pagoda in Gia Sinh commune of Gia Vien district in Ninh Binh. The festival is set to continue until March 20. Covering an area of nearly 15 hectares, the spring flower festival has been divided into indoor and outdoor areas for guests to visit. Artisans use flowers to portray different themes including Buddhism, a traditional Tet holiday in Vietnam,and bamboos. Throughout the displays the traditional values of Vietnam are on show. Fields of Orchidaceae flowers are in full bloom at the festival. Visitors are able to take beautiful photos and participate in a range of folk games held at the event. Guests can also get involved in traditional dances and Ao Dai fashion shows. Other events at the festival include calligraphy and Vietnamese tea culture which guests are free to enjoy.
