Flower garden in Ninh Binh attracts visitors during Tet

Located in the Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh province, Bai Dinh pagoda is known as the country’s largest spiritual tourism site. This year, apart from visiting the pagoda, tourists can participate in the spring flower festival that will be held for the first time at Bai Dinh flower valley. Covering an area of nearly 15 hectares, Bai Dinh Flower Spring festival 2019 is divided into indoor and outdoor zones to display thousands of Orchidaceae flowers in full bloom. Artisans use flowers to convey different themes such as Buddhism, Vietnamese traditional Tet space and bamboos. A small orchidaceae boat is colorfully adorned in the indoor zone. Orchidaceae is also the main decorative flower during this year’s festival. Other types of rare ornamental plants are also displayed at the festival. Visitors are advised to bring more of thick clothing to keep warm as the weather in the northern region is often cold during Tet. The flower valley is expected to welcome visitors from 7am to 5pm from February 5 until March 20. The entrance fees are VND50,000 for adult and VND30,000 for kids. Diverse cultural activities will be held during the festival such as Ao Dai fashion show, tea culture and the art of flower arrangement.
