These structures have significantly contributed to popularizing Vietnam’s image to the outside world.
Bamboo Dai Lai Complex, Vinh Phuc
This structure won gold medal for the resort building category and the Building of the Year Award from the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA) in 2014.

Located about 50 kilometers from the center of Hanoi capital, the complex consists of Bamboo Wings Restaurant and Dai Lai Conference Hall.
The construction of the restaurant began in 2009 while the conference hall was built three years later. Both were designed by architect Vo Trong Nghia and his colleagues.
It is one of the first Vietnamese structures that has won international prizes, marking the development of the domestic construction sector as well as helping beautify Vietnam in the eyes of international friends.
Notably, the two projects are mainly made from bamboos, creating a feeling of natural space and fresh air.
Golden Bridge, Da Nang
The bridge, though not passing any rivers, is impressive because of a pair of giant stone hands lifting a gleaming bridge towards the sky. Located on the top of the Ba Na Hills Resort near Da Nang city, the bridge is 12.8 meters wide and nearly 150 meters long with eight single spans, of which the longest one is 21.2 meters.

By the end of August, the keyword “Golden Bridge Ba Na Hills” showed nearly 160 million search results in 0.95 second when being typed on the Google website. Meanwhile the keyword “Eiffel Tower” only revealed 80 million search results in 0.65 second. These numbers prove that the Golden Bridge has become a world-famous structure.
The images of the bridge have been shown on various international channels, social media, online forums, and websites. The Guardian of the UK calls the footbridge part of “a line of weird and wonderful structures around the world”. Meanwhile, the Independent has listed the Vietnamese bridge one among the world’s 10 most incredible bridges. Many other international news agencies or travel blogs have also made good comments on the structure.
Dragon Bridge, Da Nang
The 666 meter-long, 37.5 meter-wide, and six-lane bridge crossing the Han River in Da Nang City costs VND 1.5 trillion and opened to traffic on March 29, 2013.

The bridge helps shorten the distance from Da Nang International Airport to the city’s center, My Khe and Non Nuoc Beaches. It was presented the Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) by the American Council of Engineering Companies in 2014.
The bridge is modelled after a dragon that ejects fire and water at 9:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays and on national anniversaries.
It becomes not only a symbol of the city but also a pride of the citizens.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Da Nang
This is the only travel destination which has gained the World’s Leading Luxury Resorts at World Travel Awards for three consecutive years.

At the World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia and Australasia Gala Ceremony 2018 in Hong Kong, the resort also won the Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort, Asia’s Leading Green Resort, Asia’s Leading Luxury Wedding Resort, Asia’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa (Bai Bac Bay Villa), and Vietnam’s Leading Luxury Resort.
Beating many other important nominees in the region, the Vietnamese luxury resort has retained its position of Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort for the fifth time since 2014.
Named as “Oscar in world tourism”, the World Travel Awards were founded in 1993 by hospitality experts and peers to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.
Since its first debut in June 2012, the resort has become a favorite destination for many celebrities, politicians, and VIPs. Notably, numerous sideline activities within the framework of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in 2017 also took place there.
Bitexco Financial Tower, Ho Chi Minh City
Located in the center of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Bitexco Financial Tower is 262 meters high with 68 floors above ground. In 2013, CNN named the tower one of the 25 Great Skyscraper Icons of Construction.

The skyscraper, which is the third tallest tower in Vietnam, has a total floor area of 119,000 sq.m, including 37,000 sq.m of office space and over 8,000 sq.m of retail podium. With the shape of a rising lotus bud, the tower is enveloped by 6,000 curved glass panels.
There is a non-rooftop helipad on the 52nd floor of the tower, about 191 meters high above the ground and extending 40 meters out from the main structure. It is completed after one-year construction. Visitors could also enjoy 360-degree panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City from Saigon Skydeck on the 49th floor.
Hon Thom Cable Car, Phu Quoc
The Hon Thom Cable Car, System with total length of nearly 8 kilometers, starts at An Thoi town, crossing the islands of Hon Roi, Hon Dua and ends at Hon Thom island.

The route has been recognized as the world’s longest sea cable car in the world by the Guinness World Records.
It has two terminals, six cable posts, of which the largest is T4 174 meters high. The cable car can operate at a maximum speed of 8.5 meters per second. It has 69 cabins, and each can accommodate up to 30 people.
This helps reduce the amount of time for tourists traveling from An Thoi to Hon Thom island to 15 minutes. The cabins have free wi-fi and electric lighting system at night.
This three-wire cable system has used the most modern and safest aerial cable technology in the world. Normally, the system operates smoothly but could stop automatically in bad weather and alert customers right away.
On a cable car, tourists can enjoy a stunning view of An Thoi Island in Southern Phu Quoc.
