Experiencing high-speed vehicles in Binh Thuan
Bau Trang is a tourist attraction in Binh Thuan province, some 65km, Northeast of Phan Thiet city.
In the midst of vast and smooth sand dunes, Bau Trang surprises visitors with a sparkling lake in brilliant sun with pink lotuses flickering behind green leaves. How romantic and natural the scenery is!
Tourists should try driving all-terrain vehicles (ATV) over sand-dunes with up and down slopes.
ATVs for three people and Jeep cars for four people are available in Bau Trang.
A twenty-minute ATV ride for two passengers costs VND 600,000. Visitors could drive the vehicle themselves.
There seem to be no obstacles on the sand-dunes, but drivers must be experienced and careful to ensure safety and maintain speed.
This used to be a big lake. Locals made way across the lake by a sand-dune that divided the old big lake into two small lakes which are surrounded by sand-dunes.
In local language, “Bau” means lake. The lake named Bau Ba (Lady Lake) is larger than that named Bau Ong (Gentleman Lake). Bau Ba lake covers an area of 70ha with the highest width of 500m and an average depth of 5m. In the rainy season, the deepest point of Bau Ba is 19m.
Visiting Bau Trang, tourists can hire a local boat to explore the lake or go fishing.
With its pristine and romantic scenery, Bau Trang is as source of inspiration for art-lovers and film producers.
