Hanoi (VNA) – The Tam Chuc national tourism site, together with its adjacent tourism clusters, is expected to form an attractive tourism centre of the Red River Delta, the north-east coastal region and the nation at large by 2030 under a master plan recently approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The tourism site is located in Ba Sao town and Vong, Khuyen Cong and Kha Phong villages of Kha Phong commune, Kim Bang district, the Red River Delta province of Ha Nam, with its core area covering 4,000 hectares.
According to the master plan, by 2025, Tam Chuc will basically meet criteria set for a national tourism area. By 2030, it will become a national tourism area with comprehensive infrastructure facilities and high-quality products, contributing to local socio-economic development.
It is expected to welcome about 3.7 million visitors by 2025, of whom 470,000 are foreigners. The respective figures will be 6 million and 750,000 five years later.
The site is also set to create jobs for 2,400 labourers in 2025 and 4,500 people in 2030.
It is projected to generate about 1.1 trillion VND (48.4 million USD) in 2025 and over 1.7 trillion VND (74.8 million USD) in 2030.-VNA
