Vice Principal of Saigon Tourism Vocational College, Phan Buu Toan was elected as the president of the Ho Chi Minh City Tour Guide Association. At this time, the association has more than 400 members.
At the launching ceremony, travel agencies have proposed the association to focus on implementing 24/7 health insurance policies for tour guides who usually face with high risk for accidents and stress at work.
The association creates a place for tour guides to exchange, share experience and skills as well as learn about their rights, said Vice Chairwoman of the HCMC Tourism Association Nguyen Thi Khanh.
