Deputy PM Dam requires link between tourism enterprises and training facilities

NDO – Tourism enterprises and associations need to enhance their links with training facilities both in terms of benefits and responsibilities in order to improve the training quality of human resources in tourism.

The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam during a working session with leaders of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Tourism Association and relevant ministries and agencies as well as tourism universities, colleges and enterprises on human resources training on September 6 in Hanoi.

Speaking at the working session, the Deputy PM suggested the directions to remove difficulties and propositions of enterprises and training facilities as well as the requirements of ministries and agencies.

Regarding intermediate and college level training, Deputy PM Dam asked the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training to provide guidance documents as well as to create the most favourable condition for schools to open training classes, particularly in trades serving for hotels and restaurants.

It is very essential to openly encourage enterprises to participate deeply in the training work, associating with existing training facilities or establishing new facilities, he added.

In terms of higher education, the Deputy PM urged the Ministry of Education and Training to similarly apply the forthcoming mechanism for IT training to develop specific training regulations for the tourism industry.
