HCMC – The HCMC Department of Tourism on August 2 opened two travel information centers at September 23 and Bach Dang parks in District 1 to provide tourists with free travel information and consulting services.

Bui Ta Hoang Vu, director of the department, said tourists can use computers with Internet connection at the 55-square-meter centers. The centers provide free wifi and publications with information about tours to popular destinations in the city and some neighboring provinces. Especially, two staff and three volunteers at each center will help tourists on demand.

The two centers also offer SIM cards, drinks and other services with reasonable prices.

They are open from 8:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m. daily. Tourists can access the website http://bit.ly/2vxIlYI for more tourism information.

Travel companies and hotels are allowed to display their service introduction publications there freely.

The department will open two more centers in Tan Son Nhat International Airport and the Reunification Palace.

According to the city government, HCMC welcomed nearly 2.8 million international visitors in the first half of the year, up 15% versus the same period last year.
