Saigon-Rach Gia Hotel of Saigontourist Holding Co. is the only four-star hotel in Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province.

Nguyen Trung Truc Temple is a place devoted to the worship of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc, who led a failed insurgence against the French invasion in the 19th century. Truc was executed in 1868. His temple is one of the holiest venues in Rach Gia City and Kien Giang Province. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people attend Truc’s death anniversary.
Theravada Buddhist pagoda in Cambodian architectural style, or Big Buddha pagoda, is classified as a national cultural and historical heritage. Built in 1504 (or 2047 of Buddhist calendar), the temple is a pride of Rach Gia City residents because of its long history, unique architecture and traditional cultural values of Khmer people in the Mekong Delta. Visiting the Big Buddha pagoda, visitors can feel the peaceful atmosphere while admiring traditional architectural features.
Tam Bao pagoda was originally built of wood, roofed with leaves. In 1917, Venerable Tri Thien renovated the pagoda. The symbolic three-story Lotus Flower tower and statues of Amitabha Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha and Bodhisattvas are the highlights of the pagoda.
Some other attractions in Rach Gia are Quan Thanh De Temple, Vinh Hoa Palace, Lang Cat Pagoda and the Great Cathedral. Kien Giang’s islets such as Nam Du, Hon Son and Hai Tac will be wonderful options.
