PM approves construction plan for Moc Chau National Tourism Complex

This is the direction set out in the master plan for the Moc Chau National Tourism Complex until 2030, which has been approved by the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, the planning research scope will be 206,150 hectares, covering Moc Chau and Van Ho districts of Son La province. About 1,500 hectares will be used to construct the complex’s key tourism centre, including a resort centre, an eco-tourism centre and a recreation centre.

As planned, the Moc Chau tourism complex will be a national-level complex incorporating ecological and cultural features together with diverse types of tourism; a southern key economic zone of Son La province; a centre for agricultural, forestry and small and craft industry production in Son La; and a national ecological forest preservation zone with a significant position in terms of security and national defence.

The plan aims to bring into full play the values of natural landscapes, folk culture and local identities, meeting the demand for construction and tourism development in the northern midland and mountainous regions as well as throughout the entire country.
