Hanoi (VNA) – Tourist arrivals from the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam are predicted to hit 2 million this year.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), more than 500,000 Korean visitors visited the country in the first three months of this year.

Seeing the RoK an important market, the Vietnamese tourism sector will boost cooperation with the RoK through exchange programmes to increase the number of Korean tourists, said the VNAT.

Vietnam will participate in the Korea World Travel Fair in June, while organising more promotion activities in the East Asian country.

In 2016, Vietnam welcomed 1.5 million visitors from the RoK.-VNA
